Garden Club
We are 1st & 2nd Graders who are learning about:
- Environmental stewardship: Garden clubs teach students about the importance of preserving the environment and the role they can play in it. They encourage sustainable practices like composting, water conservation, and organic gardening.
- Teamwork and cooperation: Students work together to maintain the garden, which helps them develop teamwork and cooperation skills.
- Patience and perseverance: Students learn patience and perseverance as they watch their plants grow.
- Science, biology, and ecology: Garden clubs provide a hands-on way for students to learn about science, biology, and ecology.
- Healthy eating: Students learn about growing their own food and eating healthy.
- Social skills: Garden clubs can help students improve their social skills and behaviors.
- Self-esteem: Students who participate in garden clubs can show increased self-esteem.
