About Us
We are located south of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Hwy 707, 5 miles from Murrells Inlet. Our school was built in the 50’s and remodeled in 1986. We currently have 800 students and 100 faculty and staff members. The classroom hours are 7:40am to 2:20pm. Our mascot is the Dolphin and our school colors are royal blue and yellow.

The mission of St. James Elementary School, a richly diverse community of learners committed to a tradition of academic and personal excellence, is to ensure that our children are fully prepared to be productive participants in a constantly changing world through personalized, progressive learning which develops self-motivation, high expectations, lifeskills, and the lifelong pursuit of learning.

To have each child successfully complete an individualized learning program.

To have each child prepared to successfully enter the next level of his/her educational journey.
